U.S. Venture Sinks Its Teeth Into Trueblood Oil

Wisconsin energy, c-store company acquires Indiana fuel distributor

APPLETON, Wis. -- U.S. Venture Inc., which operates the Express Convenience Centers, has acquired Farmersburg, Ind.-based Trueblood Oil Co.'s branded wholesale fuel supply business, reported The Appleton Post-Crescent.

U.S. Venture said that the purchase gives it a significant distribution position in Indiana and will expand U.S. Venture's Midwest presence.

"This is a great opportunity as it helps U.S. Venture accelerate our current expansion into the Indiana, Ohio and Michigan markets," Steve Quinette, vice president of branded sales for Appleton, Wis.-based U.S. Venture, said in a statement. "Another positive aspect is that we gain access to the Sunoco fuel brand which opens up new potential for U.S. Venture."
He said the acquisition helps U.S. Venture meet its strategic growth plans. "Trueblood has built a successful business with a loyal following of customers who expect great service from the people they know and trust. We will continue to build on that success by offering additional services and programs to meet our customer's needs."

Since its establishment in 1957, Trueblood Oil has supplied fuel and lubricants to customers in a variety of industries. Its fleet of tractor trailers provides direct transport for purchases of refined gasoline, diesel fuels and heating oil to retail, commercial and home outlets. Its tankwagons make local industrial, commercial, resale and home deliveries. It provides diesel fuel additives and treatments, as well as fuel testing services. And it offers direct equipment fueling.
An independent, family-owned business, U.S. Venture, Inc. operates in the Midwest through several divisions: U.S. Oil (bulk storage terminals, wholesale and branded distribution of petroleum products, multiple-brand c-store jobbership and gas station-related real-estate activities), Express Convenience Stores, U.S. AutoForce (tires and automotive parts), U.S. Lubricants, U.S. Petroleum Equipment, Design Air (heating, ventilation and air conditioning wholesaler), Custom Manufacturing (manufacturing and supplying metal tubing for the automotive, furniture and lawn and garden industries, as well as frame components, handles and rails).

Located throughout Wisconsin, Express Convenience Centers offer locally formulated fuel, as well as c-stores with clean restrooms, quick-serve food, fresh coffee and a variety of groceries and beverages. Its newest locations include temperature-controlled humidors and huge walk-in beer coolers. Some of its locations offer drive-through service.
