ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp., a leading supplier of automation technology to the convenience-store and gas-station industries, announced that it has recently completed and released for production its support for BP’s Driver Rewards loyalty program from Pinnacle Palm POS.
With their BP Visa or BP Credit Card, consumers can receive discounts off fuel purchases based on prior purchases, in the form of real-time cents per gallon rollback at the fuel island. Consumers can trigger their rewards with their BP card itself, or identify themselves by keying in digits such as their phone number into the dispenser or the PIN pad inside.
“Support for every major oil payment network within the U.S. remains Pinnacle’s strategy for Palm POS,” said Denise Lewis, POS and payments product manager. “Whether for BP-only branded convenience retailers or multi-branded retailers looking for a single POS solution that will support all of their various store brands and corporate goals, we recognize the importance of providing every option within our control so they are free to choose the best point of sale available in our market.”
Pinnacle initially completed and deployed support for the BP payment network from Palm POS in 2008 and recently enhanced the interface to support BP’s Driver Rewards loyalty program in October of this year.
PALM POS is designed specifically for the petroleum convenience-store market. Pinnacle’s POS is flexible, reliable, and secure. It is Windows based, with touch-screen architecture and PCI compliant.
