BP and GetUpside Partner on Personalized Savings

BP and Amoco marketers will have first right of refusal to join new program

HOUSTON -- Users of the GetUpside app will get access to personalized fuel discounts at participating BP- and Amoco-branded sites through a new program launching this spring.

To take advantage of the fuel discounts, GetUpside app users select a BP or Amoco gas station offer in their area, buy gas at that site with a credit or debit card, and upload a photo of their receipt to the app. Savings are deposited into users’ GetUpside account; they can then redeem their savings balance for gift cards or receive the cash value via PayPal or a check. Customers can still use BP loyalty programs at the same time as earning discounts through the GetUpside app.

BP- and Amoco-branded marketers will have first right of refusal to join the GetUpside platform; there are about 6,000 BP- and Amoco-branded sites in the United States.

GetUpside hopes to double its growth in the gas-station segment and increase its app’s reach through the new BP partnership.

Upside Services Inc. also has a strategic partnership with Motiva Enterprises LLC. More than 90% of Motiva’s wholesalers participate in the GetUpside program. Motiva plans to roll out the GetUpside program to all of its wholesalers across the United States in 2019.
