AUSTIN, Texas -- Dresser Wayne has entered into an alliance with Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. to make the Nucleus Point of Sale Software solution available to all Chevron and Texaco retailers.
Going forward, Chevron's Nucleus solution will be offered for purchase from Wayne for both Chevron and Texaco retailers and will also be the only long-term option for those retailers who prefer to lease a system from Chevron.

Today, Nucleus is installed in more than 3,700 Chevron and Texaco sites, the company said.
To meet the growing needs of retailers, open-architected systems like Nucleus provide many opportunities for enhancing the software without having to change out the hardware. With Nucleus, a retailer can select the level of functionality required to meet the needs of their business and pay only for the software features that are right for them. Touchscreen, unlimited pricebook size and remote diagnostics are all standard features that Nucleus provides today.
