Flyers Gasoline Brand Sets Course for Southern California

Expands marketing area; hires industry veteran Everson

AUBURN, Calif. -- Northern California fuel jobber Flyers Energy plans to expand the Flyers brand into Southern California. Fuel industry veteran Andy Everson has joined the company to promote the Flyers brand franchise offering to independent convenience stores and gas stations.

"We found that station owners in Southern California want a high-quality brand choice but need an aggressive pricing model.  Flyers provides this in Northern California and has quickly become one of the fastest growing brands in this market," said Jay Galvin, director of sales and marketing.

Hiring an experienced sales professional for the Southern California market was key.

"Andy brings extensive experience from Phillips 66, where he helped grow the 76 brand throughout the region,” Galvin said. “He is the industry veteran we need to help us make a successful launch into the marketplace."

Auburn, Calif.-based Flyers Energy franchises the Flyers fuel brand and distributes wholesale and branded retail fuel, commercial lubricants, renewable fuels and solar power in the United States. Flyers Energy is the largest member of the Commercial Fueling Network and is also the marketer for more than 100 Chevron, Shell, Valero and 76 branded stations in California and Nevada.

In 2011, Nella Oil Co. changed its name to Flyers Energy LLC to align with the recognizable Flyers brand, as well as reflect its expansion into alternative energy sectors.
