Gulf Oil Teams Up With New England Patriots

Multiyear partnership includes on-field experiences and fuel discounts

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. — With the start of football season, Gulf Oil has forged a partnership with the New England Patriots that includes a promotional sweepstakes and fuel discounts for fans.

The Patriots Net Duty With a Hand from Gulf sweepstakes, which launched in September and runs through Dec. 6, 2019, will award three winners with two tickets to a regular-season Patriots home game. This includes the opportunity to watch the first half of the game from the football field, raise the net when the Patriots score points and appear on the Jumbotron.

To enter, participants need to create an account in the Gulf Pay mobile app or sign up for promotional emails.

"The Patriots are pumped up to partner with Gulf, a nationally recognized brand headquartered here in Massachusetts," said Murray Kohl, vice president of corporate sponsorship sales for the Patriots. "Gulf has been fueling Patriots fans for decades, and we are looking forward to working with them to reward three lucky fans with some very unique experiences."

Gulf is also the exclusive fuel partner of the Patriots365 loyalty program, providing its members with 10% to 20% back on linked Visa transactions at participating Gulf stations in New England. Each time Patriots365 participants fill up at a Gulf site, they can earn credits towards ticket balances or future Patriots purchases.

The partnership aims to drive traffic to Gulf sites with in-stadium signage, Patriots Monday and Friday night radio spots and digital advertising.

"This partnership brings together two local brands to provide savings to consumers of New England,” said Nikki Fales, director of marketing for Gulf Oil. “Through Patriots365, fans are experiencing savings from multiple retailers and now exclusively on fuel at Gulf. The program is a great way for us to team up and fuel fans to and from the stadium and anywhere their lives take them."

Gulf Oil, Wellesley Hills, Mass., has approximately 1,800 Gulf-branded sites in 36 states and Puerto Rico. It also distributes unbranded fuel to 1,000 sites in the United States.
