Hemisphere Ltd. LLC has acquired White Oil Co., a distributor of bulk fuel based in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
The integration of White Oil into Hemisphere’s group of companies, which includes Continental Refining Co. (CRC), Warner Fertilizer and the Midland Farms convenience stores, will create a stronger, more dynamic organization, the company said. White Oil owns one c-store, with two set to open within a couple of weeks.
This acquisition is in line with Hemisphere’s long-term strategy of expanding the business through strategic acquisitions and investments in key markets.
The companies expect to transfer ownership is within the next few weeks, and White Oil will continue to operate under the leadership of Todd and Chad White.
White Oil provides bulk fuel distribution services and Marathon fuel branding across the region. The company offers a variety of products and services, including gasoline, diesel fuel and heating oil, as well as fuel storage tank installation and maintenance.
CRC operates a 77-acre agriculture and petroleum industrial complex that processes raw soybeans and other feedstocks to create a range of feed products. CRC produces soybean oil that it feeds into its biodiesel plant to process biodiesel and its UltraBurn diesel blends. CRC’s UltraBurn F20 is blended with 20% CRC-produced biodiesel, 80% petroleum diesel and special additives are added to the blend to increase lifespan and performance of the fuel, said the company.
