Fuel and convenience-store retailer Onvo is now serving the community of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, with the company’s first Onvo-branded gasoline location.

“This marks an exciting new chapter for Onvo, and it allows us to bring the quality and service customers associate with Onvo out to the gas pumps,” the company said in announcing the new offering. “Guests are familiar with seeing the Onvo name on our convenience stores and diesel canopies, but this location marks Onvo’s first foray into serving passenger vehicles with an Onvo fueling experience that is catered specifically to gas customers.”

Onvo East Stroudsburg is located on Route 209 in East Stroudsburg at 4998 Milford Rd. The location now accepts Onvo Rewards.

Founded in 1988 in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, as Liberty Travel Plazas by Sonny Singh and Andy Aulakh, the company unveiled the Onvo name and brand identity in mid-2020. The new identity included a new name and logo, a fully redesigned website, tryonvo.com, a refreshed loyalty program and an updated store design.

  • Onvo is No. 163 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of convenience-store chains by store count.

This week, Onvo Travel Plazas also announced that it has partnered with Relay Payments, a payment company for the trucking industry.

The 22 Onvo locations that will offer Relay aim to eliminate card-skimming fraud, offer fuel discounts to Relay customers and allow drivers to pay for more over-the-road expenses via Relay’s mobile app. Through Relay’s partnership with AmBest, a credit card agency, Onvo customers can connect their AmBuck$ account in the Relay app to earn rewards with every diesel fuel purchase.

“Onvo is always looking for ways to enhance our customers’ experiences. Our partnership with Relay makes fleet transactions more secure, convenient and affordable,” said Harman Aulakh, vice president of marketing.

Onvo is a hospitality company that serves traveling motorists through a network of businesses, including 39 travel plazas and gas stations, 25 quick-service and full-service restaurants and six hotels located throughout northeastern and central Pennsylvania and upstate New York.
