Acosta Sales & Marketing Grows Foodservice Division

Partners with Quality Sales & Marketing; expands geographic reach

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Acosta Sales & Marketing, a leading full-service sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, and Quality Sales & Marketing (QSM), a leading foodservice sales agency in the Carolinas, have announced an agreement to partner in the foodservice channel.

Acosta entered the foodservice channel in March 2012 through a partnership with Venture Sales Group (VSG), a leading foodservice sales agency in the Northeast U.S. Together, VSG and QSM will provide a solid foundation for Acosta's growing foodservice business.

"Just one month after establishing our presence in the food service industry, we are excited to announce that we are quickly expanding our footprint through our newest partnership with QSM," said Acosta president and CEO Robert Hill. "QSM's superior sales representation and regional presence are a natural fit with Acosta and our growing foodservice business."

QSM's current management team will continue to manage the company, its local go-to-market strategies and Food Mark technology.

"At QSM, we believe people are the cornerstone of our business. One of the many things that excited us about joining Acosta is the culture its leadership has created focusing on people, teamwork, and trust," said Michael Flintom, QSM CEO. "Additionally, Acosta's long term plan for the foodservice market will provide us with economies of scale and increased speed to market with our CPG company partners and customers."

QSM provides superior sales representation and service to manufacturers, distributors, and end-user customers in the food service industry. Serving leading clients in North Carolina and South Carolina, QSM partners with many of the most well-known branded CPG companies in the foodservice industry.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Acosta provides outsourced sales, marketing and retail merchandising services to move products off shelves and into shoppers' baskets, ensuring clients achieve their true sales potential. With approximately 21,000 associates in 65 locations throughout the United States and Canada, Acosta represents more than 60% of the top brands in the CPG industry.
