Anslinger Joins Schwan’s Consumer Brands

CPG vet will serve as chief growth officer

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Schwan’s Consumer Brands Inc. has announced that April Anslinger is joining the company as senior vice president and chief growth officer.

In this role, Anslinger will be responsible for all sales, marketing and customer development functions for Schwan’s Consumer Brands, a leader in marketing and selling branded foods to retail stores throughout North America.

Anslinger is filling a newly created position designed to align sales and marketing functions to support the company’s brands and in-store execution.

“I am very excited to have April join our team in this pivotal role. She is a strong leader who has been successful in developing people and shaping cultures that deliver growth,” said Schwan’s Consumer Brands president Kevin McAdams. “April is also a tremendous CPG (consumer packaged goods) marketer who will further elevate our brands with consumers and create value for our retail customers.”

Anslinger brings more than 20 years of brand marketing experience to the role. Most recently, she served as brand director for the Herbal Essences Global brand at Procter & Gamble Co., where she supervised a large global brand team spanning across North America, Europe and Asia. In addition, while at Procter & Gamble, she served as a co-leader on the company’s Women’s Empowered Organization, which focuses on gender-diversity issues and female retention.

Bloomington, Minn.-based Schwan’s Consumer Brands, a subsidiary of The Schwan Food Co., offers brands such as Bon Appétit, Red Baron, Freschetta and Tony’s pizza; Mrs. Smith’s and Edwards desserts; Larry’s potatoes; and Pagoda Asian-style snacks.
