TORONTO — Abacus Health Products Inc. is bringing its CBDMedic products to the convenience-store market.
The Toronto-based company is partnering with Van Nuys, Calif.-based E&S International Enterprises Inc. to distribute CBDMedic's topical pain and skin-care medications through unique channels, including c-stores, digital platforms, TV shopping and outdoor specialty stores in the U.S., and select countries in Latin and South America.
“The convenience-store channel represents over 150,000 locations across the United States, and the distribution of our topical CBDMedic line of products is a natural extension in our efforts to offer our products to consumers across the United States,” Abacus CEO Perry Antelman said. “We are excited about our partnership with ESI, a leader in this channel, and look forward to seeing CBDMedic products on convenience-store shelves in early 2020.”
Abacus has developed new form factors of its leading topical pain relief and skin-care product line, CBDMedic, and unique presentation platforms specifically designed for the c-store market, the company said. The company launched its c-store products at the 2019 NACS Show, which took place Oct. 1-4 in Atlanta.
CBDMedic is a line of topical pain and skin-care medications developed to provide safe, natural and temporary relief, according to its website. The products, which are currently sold at CVS Pharmacy, are made with a variety of ingredients, including cannabinoids, tea tree oil, clove oil, beeswax and menthol.
Abacus develops and commercializes over-the-counter registered topical medications with active pharmaceutical ingredients including cannabidiol-rich hemp extract. Its products are aimed at rapidly growing markets. Abacus offers two lines of products: CBD Clinic, marketed to the professional practitioner market, and CBDMedic, marketed to the consumer market.
