SOUTHLAKE, Texas — NVIP has hired a new president and chief commercial officer to help expand the company’s health and beauty products into new markets.
Tony Gaines, who has 25 years of experience in consumer packaged goods, will lead the Southlake, Texas-based company. NVIP’s brands include HillTop Meds, Aktive Today and Hall Global. The company is focused on creating products with hemp extract and clean ingredients, according to the company.
Gaines is coming from his position as executive vice president of sales of Advantage Solutions, a third-party marketing and sales company. Previously, he was the vice president of sales and chief customer officer for Logic Technology, where he took the e-cigarette company’s distribution from 7,000 retailers to more than 35,000. He also was vice president of sales for Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he managed a portfolio of more than 200 beer brands.
“Emerging categories and companies have been a passion of mine throughout my career,” Gaines said. “The opportunity to grow the NVIP portfolio of brands within the beauty, health, better-for-you and pet segments cannot come at a better time within the CPG [consumer packaged goods] industry. People want to live healthier lives and feel good doing it. I am appreciative that I will get the chance to make that a reality for millions of people while having fun doing it with an amazing staff and portfolio of products."
NVIP chose Gaines after months of searching, according to Bill Nicholson, chairman of the board.
“NVIP is growing so quickly that it was imperative we find someone at the president position that is as committed to clean health and beauty as the rest of our team,” Nicholson said. “We couldn’t be more excited to have someone with Tony’s experience and passion lead our team forward.”
