CSP Announces 2019 Best New Product Contest Winners
By CSP Staff on Sep. 23, 2019ATLANTA — This week, CSP announced the winners of its 16th annual Retailer Choice Best New Product Contest. Winner were announced in 22 product categories as diverse as foodservice equipment, packaged beverages, technology, tobacco and cannabidiol (CBD) products.
To be eligible, products must have been introduced into the convenience-retailing format between Aug. 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019. Upon receiving nominations, a panel of CSP and Convenience Store Products magazine editors determined the top three finalists in each category. Retailers then voted for a winner from among the finalists.
“CSP’s Best New Product Content truly puts the decision-making in retailers’ hands. That makes it a true reflection of the store-level items that are making a difference on the shelf, in categories large and small,” said Steve Holtz, content director for Winsight’s convenience group. “Congratulations to the winners! And to the manufacturers: Keep the great innovation coming! We’ll do it again next year.”
Awards were presented to contest winners during the 2019 NACS Show, held Oct. 1-4 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, certifying that these company’s products “have arrived” to the marketplace.
