McLane Building Distribution Center in Findlay, Ohio

Wholesaler invests $119 million for new facility

FINDLAY, Ohio -- JobsOhio president and chief investment officer John Minor has announced that McLane Co. Inc., one of the nation's leading wholesale suppliers to grocery, convenience store retailers and restaurants, has committed to create 425 jobs and invest $119 million at a new distribution facility in Findlay, Ohio.

Company officials said they expect to break ground on the new facility this summer.

"McLane Co.'s decision to invest in Findlay is great news for Northwest Ohio and the more than 425 highly skilled workers that will be on the job at this cutting-edge facility," said Minor. "With the Regional Growth Partnership and City of Findlay, we look forward to continuing to work with McLane for many years to come."

McLane's Grocery unit services more than 45,000 retail locations nationwide. The company expects this highly automated distribution center to greatly enhance its efficiency in servicing its valued customers throughout the Great Lakes region.

"We're thrilled that Findlay, Ohio, will be home to our 22nd grocery distribution center within our nationwide network," said Mike Youngblood, president of McLane Grocery.
