McLane and QuickChek Renew 28-Year Relationship

Retailer will launch new supply-chain solution in its East Coast locations

TEMPLE, Texas -- Convenience-store retailer QuickChek has extended its partnership with McLane Co. Inc. and will test a new application to ease returns and credits, McLane said.

The agreement, a renewal of a 28-year relationship, includes a complete supply-chain solution for grocery, beverages, candy, snacks, health and beauty care, general merchandise, cigarettes and other tobacco products to QuikChek’s 150 c-stores in New Jersey and New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island.

QuickChek will also test McLane’s Premium Order Management Suite Reclamation application, which identifies items that can be returned for credit and sends a digital report of scanned reclamations.

“McLane and QuickChek share many of the same core values including an unwavering dedication to our customers,” said Vito Maurici, senior vice president of sales for McLane Grocery. “We are honored they chose to extend the relationship with a service agreement that promotes long-term growth. We look forward to growing together in the years to come.”

QuickChek already uses the McLane Link customer portal and its Center for Category Innovation, which provides customers with local and national sales data.

“We look forward to continuing our relationship and utilizing McLane’s goods and services as we strive for new ways to redefine fresh convenience in meeting the needs of today’s on-the-go, fast-casual shopper,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling.
