Mountain Brew Beer branded baseball caps and vintage T-shirts are now at Stewart’s Shops’ online shop—available after the convenience-store chain brought back the beer in February after a five-year absence.

This is the only alcohol beverage with the Stewart’s Shops name on it.

The convenience-store chain partnered with Adirondack Mountains’ craft brewer Paradox Brewery on the comeback of the beer. Paradox created a new recipe for the beer, which comes in a 19.2-ounce can.

“After teaming up with Paradox to re-invent and revive Stewart’s Mountain Brew beer, customers began asking for merch to express their enjoyment of the Adirondack Mountain’s lager,” Ballston Spa, New York-based Stewart’s Shops said.

The beer, which retails for $2.19 for one can or $4 for two cans, caught the attention of many customers because of its quality and value, Stewart’s Shops said.

To reflect the image of the nostalgic beer, Stewart’s designed a vintage gray shirt, the company said. “This ultra-soft, acid-washed tee features the Mountain Brew logo and offers a peek at the sports-figure icons that our loyal customers will recognize from the beer can,” Stewart’s Shops said.

The shirt retails for $21.99 and is available in six sizes: small, medium, large, XL, 2XL and 3XL.

The gray and black Mountain Brew baseball cap with a mesh back is $14.99.

The Wall Street Journal recently recognized Mountain Brew as one of the top private-label beers in the United States. Stewart’s is among a growing number of retailers “that work closely with craft breweries to produce compelling beers that deliver both value and taste,” the newspaper said in April.

Founded in 1945, the Ballston Spa, New York-based Stewart's Shops chain operates in upstate New York, New Hampshire and southern Vermont. The chain operates 362 Stewart's Shops and 45 Jolley c-stores for a total of 407 locations.

While Stewart's Shops is mostly owned by the family of chairman William Dake, employees also own about 40% of the company through an employee stock ownership (ESOP) plan. It is known regionally for its milk, ice cream, coffee, to-go food, gasoline and other convenience items. The company has an extensive production, distribution and warehousing network that supplies its stores.
