OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- CST Brands' Corner Store and Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes and Sunoco LP's Stripes Convenience Stores and APlus Stores have all launched Miracle Balloon campaigns to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Meanwhile, other retailers are preparing campaigns of their own.

QuickChek

CST Brands. San Antonio-based CST Brands’ Corner Store and Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes have launched Miracle Balloon campaigns to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Through April 30, customers can purchase a $1 or $5 Miracle Balloon, buy a glow bracelet or donate change to support the cause. Corner Store and Nice N Easy have raised more than $23 million for pediatric patients since partnering with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 1995.

Enmarket. From April 27 to May 3, Savannah, Ga.-based Enmarket will sell paper icons for $1 in all 64 of its convenience stores in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk. The company’s goal is to raise $100,000 for the organization. Enmarket will also hold Full-Service Fridays, during which members of the management team will pump gas, wipe windows and hand out coupons in hopes of collecting donations. It will hold Full-Service Fridays on April 29 in Savannah, Ga.; May 6 in Augusta, Ga.; May 13 in Aiken, S.C.; May 20 in Warner Robins, Ga.; and May 27 in Rincon, Ga.

QuickChek. Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based QuickChek joined the Stuff a Truck food drive April 9 in partnership with New York state Sen. Michael Venditto and the Long Island Cares food bank to aid area families in need. The event collected 1,850 pounds of food and supplies. QuickChek also has been named a sponsor of the 6th Precinct Cops Who Care Warrior Ride to raise funds for local military veterans. A QuickChek ride team, consisting of company executives and store personnel, will take part in the charity bicycling tour April 24. The chain also will serve its coffee at the registration table and supply riders with bottled water at stations throughout the route. Hope for the Warriors is the event’s main beneficiary.

Sunoco LP. Through May 3, Stripes Convenience Stores and APlus Stores will be asking customers to “Put Their Money Where The Miracles Are” and purchase a $1 Miracle Balloon to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Stripes and APlus, operated by Houston-based Sunoco LP, have partnered with CMN Hospitals since 2000, raising more than $9.5 million for sick and injured kids.

A.J. Antunes & Co. The Carol Stream, Ill.-based company, which specializes in the manufacturing of foodservice equipment, will participate in The Splash Effect of World Water Day 2016. This monthlong fundraising campaign benefits A.J. Antunes & Co.’s corporate charity partner, Splash, a nonprofit that brings clean water to children throughout the world.
