Throughout July and August, customers will receive discounts off every gallon of fuel from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at each event. The first 50 customers who sign up for the CITGO Rewards Credit Card, which saves 5 cents per gallon for all fuel purchases at any CITGO station every time it's used, will receive a $10 CITGO Gift Card, a free mug of coffee and will be entered into a drawing for a $50 CITGO gift card.

"We are excited for the opportunity to host these customer-appreciation days in the communities where we do business," said John Closson, a buyer for Sherman V. Allen/Mac's Markets. "This gives us a chance to give back to the people who make it all possible. There will be giveaways, food and fun games for the kids. We hope to see the whole community come out and enjoy the events."

Each customer-appreciation day will feature free T-shirts to be given out in conjunction with a children's basketball game, along with a barbecue, ice-cream treats and face painting. Miss Vermont 2014 Lucy Edwards will attend the four events in Vermont as a CITGO Fueling Good representative, while Miss Empire Capital Region 2014 Katelynn Smith from the Miss New York Organization will attend the event scheduled for Aug. 1 in Lake George, N.Y.

CITGO has partnered with the Miss America Organization to promote a range of issues, including the importance of education, healthy living, helping others and diversity, all of which align with core CITGO values. CITGO and its network of local marketers and retailers are joined by local Miss America titleholders at events across the nation.
