CSP's CARRE Receives Record Donation From 7-Eleven

DePinto presents contribution to support Folds of Honor Foundation at Outlook event

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- Attendees of CSP's 2014 Outlook Leadership conference had a special opportunity to support military families who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country via CARRE, the Charitable Alliance of Restaurant & Retail Executives. In total, $101,000 was raised by the CARRE Foundation, with all proceeds benefitting the Folds of Honor Foundation, which supports the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country.

7-Eleven Inc. president and CEO Joe DePinto presented a record contribution of $50,000 at the conference.

The philanthropic activities of CARRE support a roster of national and global charities that touch lives throughout the country. CARRE Foundation's purpose is to provide leadership through charitable giving while building stronger relationships and bonds within our conference community.

The mission and vision of Folds of Honor Foundation is to provide every spouse and dependent of a wounded or fallen service member the financial opportunity to pursue higher education. Through scholarships and a Children's Fund, which are maintained through ongoing donations, fundraisers and special events, Folds of Honor presents an ongoing tribute to the brave men and women who defended the liberties and peace Americans enjoy daily. According to its website, www.foldsofhonor.org, Folds of Honor Foundation allots 87 cents of each dollar donated to its scholarship programs.

The annual CSP Outlook Leadership conference brought together convenience store and petroleum retailing executive-level retailers and suppliers and was hosted at the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale, Ariz., from Nov. 16-19, 2014.
