The nonprofit raised an additional $432 during the Enmark Dollar Day one Enmark convenience store.

Enmark presented the check to Beth Aldrich, executive director of Girls on the Run of Coastal Georgia, at the third Enmark Encourage Health Educational Lecture on June 24.

"Last spring, 73% of the 466 girls who participated in our program received at least a partial scholarship," said Aldrich. "Our fee structure is based on household income, and we have never turned anyone away for inability to pay. Girls on the Run reaches out to all girls in grades three through eight, regardless of their family finances."

Enmark partnered with Healthy Savannah, the Savannah Morning News, Savannah Magazine and WJCL to present this premier series of five wellness lectures benefiting local nonprofit organizations focused on Wellness.

The Encourage Health Educational Series happens on the last Tuesday of the months of February, April, June, August and October. The series features presentations from the area's most respected experts sharing insights on nutrition, fitness and general tips for healthy living. The next Encourage Health Education Lecture will be August 26; Kerri Goodrich, founder and director of Performance Initiatives in Savannah, will explain "Five Ways Weight Lifting Helps Burn Body Fat."

Enmark will match all proceeds and will present a check to the designated charity at each of the lectures.

Founded as Interstate Stations in 1963 by Robert Demere, Enmark Stations is a family-run business. The Savannah-based company, which celebrated its 50-year anniversary in 2013, operates 59 convenience stores in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
