BDS Oil Acquires Eight Jiffy Mini Marts

Retiring Terre Haute, Ind., retailers sell stores to Muncie company

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Jim and Pat Fash of Jiffy Mini Marts, based in Terre Haute, Ind., have sold their eight convenience stores to BDS Oil Co., Muncie, Ind.

The eight stores involved in the deal are all located in Terre Haute, with the exception of one store in Marshall, Ill., near the Indiana-Illinois state line.

The stations are known in the area for selling E85.

The sale is the result of the decision by Fashes to retire after more than 25 years in the convenience store industry, according to Terry Monroe, president of American Business Brokers, which facilitated the transaction.

"Jiffy Mini Marts have been prominent in the Terre Haute, Ind., market place for over 30 years," he said. "Jim and Pat Fash had reached a point in their successful business career where they were open to the idea of retiring and enjoying more time with their family.'
Monroe added, "The Fashes were complimentary of their loyal employees and longtime customers and stated that they will miss them all and praise them for their past service and business."

American Business Brokers is based in Effingham, Ill.
