CST Brands chairman, president, CEO rings NYSE Opening Bell

NEW YORK -- CST Brands Inc., led by chairman, president and CEO Kim Bowers and members of the San Antonio, Texas-based company's leadership team, visited the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and rang The Opening Bell on Dec. 3.

CST Brands, one of the largest independent retailers in North America, listed its initial public offering on the NYSE earlier this year under the ticker symbol, "CST."

Bowers has been named one of Fortune magazine's "50 Most Powerful Women in Business," ranked at No. 38.

San Antonio, Texas-based Valero Energy Corp. spun off CST Brands--and its Corner Store retail brand--as a separate company on May 1, 2013.

CST Brands is one of the largest independent retailers of motor fuels and convenience merchandise in North America. It employs approximately 12,000 employees at nearly 1,900 locations throughout the southwestern United States and eastern Canada offering a broad array of convenience merchandise, beverages, snacks and fresh food. In the United States, CST Corner Stores sell Valero fuels and products such as Fresh Choices baked and packaged goods, U Force energy and sport drinks, Cibolo Mountain coffee, FC Soda and Flavors2Go fountain drinks. In Canada, CST is the exclusive provider of Ultramar fuels and its Dépanneur du Coin and Corner Stores sell Transit Café coffee and pastries.
