GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The Bosselman Cos. recently celebrated the grand opening of the York I-80 Pump & Pantry convenience store on Feb. 8. The Pump & Pantry re-opened in a new building at the same location. It built the new building directly behind the former location.
The new, larger Pump & Pantry offers a more streamlined shopping experience, featuring more fuel pumps and a larger parking lot, an expanded deli offering including f'Real shakes, and a contemporary interior design with hard surface countertops and cherry woodwork for a modern appeal and warm, upgraded ambience. The store carries a full selection of hot drinks and fountain beverages, bottled drinks, snacks, beer and quick-serve foods, as well as quality fuels.
"We are excited about this brand new Pump & Pantry convenience store building at the busy York interstate exit. The new store will continue to provide excellent service to our customers, in a new and modern environment," Charlie Bosselman said.
Also, Bosselman on Feb. 15 celebrated the opening of an all-new store in Chapman, Neb. A fire destroyed the Chapman Pump & Pantry on May 23, 2012.
This store introduces the new "Hometown" building concept that Bosselman will use for future builds and remodels. A new streamlined look, contemporary design and upgraded ambience highlight the new structure. A turret serves as a coffee bar area, and the interior features hard surface countertops and cherry woodwork for a modern appeal. At just under 2,000 square feet, the store still offers all the amenities of a more than 3,000-square-foot store.
A new mascot, Bones, the Pump & Pantry Husky dog, welcomed customers at the main entrance.
A full selection of hot drinks and fountain beverages, bottled drinks, snacks, beer and quick-serve foods is available at the store, as well as fuels.
"We are pleased to be able to rebuild our Chapman store as well as roll out a brand new look and feel to our line of Pump & Pantry locations," Charlie Bosselman said. "We are grateful to the community of Chapman for supporting us in the past and look forward to being back in the community in the near future. This store will continue to provide quick, friendly hometown service to our Chapman area customers."
The Chapman Pump & Pantry, which was originally a Skelly gas station, was purchased in the late 1970s. It was later razed and rebuilt on the same property in the 1980s.
