This is the latest in a series of developments by the companies. Last month, Cumberland Farms opened a new, flagship store, focused on fresh food and hot coffee and leveraging the company's farm-family heritage. In addition, Gulf Oil has several new programs in 2009 to further its branding and customer loyalty programs.

Cumberland Farms' network of retail stores, gas stations and a support system including petroleum and grocery distribution operations spans 11 states across the Northeast and Florida. Gulf Oil is a major gasoline brand in the Northeast, with more than 2,500 retail locations serving the independent distributor and dealer marketing channels.
