MacLeod "led the [U.S. Convenience Retail] organization through a [image-nocss] bold transformation from a company owned and operated business to a franchise model and expanded the ampm brand nationally. Fiona has been very involved in women's development, and has been a leader amongst leaders," Steve Welch, COO for international businesses, said in an internal company announcement obtained by CSP Daily News.
"Bill has been part of the the BP convenience retail divisions leadership for many years and we expect no change in direction under his leadership as he was involved to the creation of the current strategy," company spokesperson Scott Dean said in an announcement emailed to industry media late yesterday
"Fiona has been with BP for 21 years, holding a variety of leadership roles in marketing, human resources, Supply and distribution, gas and power and retail across a number of regions. Throughout her tenure with BP, Fiona has led significant change programs in New Zealand, Europe and the United States," said Welch. "I would like to thank Fiona for her significant contribution to BP and to R&M. We wish her the best during her sabbatical and we look forward to welcoming her back next year."
Fry will also report to Welch. "Bill has been committed to the [U.S. Convenience Retail business unit] and various fuels value chain roles for over 26 years. He is passionate about retail, the ampm franchise offer, our people and winning. We are confident that with his knowledge of the business, drive for results and proven leadership ability, [U.S. Convenience Retail] is in great hands moving forward," Welch said.
Before taking the role of business unit leader for Convenience Retail Americas, MacLeod was the former chief of staff to John Manzoni, then managing director and CEO of BP refining and marketing. Separately, ConocoPhillips has announced several changes to the company's senior management, effective April 1. Clayton Reasor, currently president of U.S. marketing, will become vice president of corporate affairs.
