Gulf Oil Appoints CMO

Industry veteran joins brand from BP

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. -- Gulf Oil has hired industry veteran Sue Hayden in the newly created role of executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

Hayden is responsible for driving the overall strategy for branded and unbranded operations, brand marketing, and customer service and credit-card operations for the gasoline brand. Hayden will report to President and CEO Eric Johnson.

"I am excited to welcome Sue to our company," Johnson said. "Sue's extensive commercial and retail experience combined with her passion make her the ideal champion for our mission to drive change and develop the Gulf brand along with our partners."

Hayden brings more than 35 years of petroleum-industry and leadership experience to the role. Prior to joining the executive team at Gulf, Hayden was vice president of fuel sales for BP, where she oversaw the branded, unbranded and commercial business for the company's North American segment.

Wellesley Hills, Mass.-based Gulf Oil is a diversified refined products terminal operator and a distributor of motor fuels. The company supplies refined products under the Gulf Oil name to approximately 1,800 locations in 36 states and Puerto Rico and unbranded products to 1,000 private-label locations nationwide.
