LOS ANGELES -- Healthy convenience-store concept Locali is expanding through franchising with newly enlisted development partner, Fransmart. Locali is looking for experienced and qualified franchise partners in the United States.
Locali is a franchised natural food store with a healthy and organic-based deli menu. Locali tagline is “Eat Smart. All Day.” The chain is now ready to spread that mission beyond Southern California.
Fransmart is the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill and will serve as Locali’s exclusive franchise partner.
Greg Horos and Melissa Rosen founded Locali Healthy Convenience and opened the first Hollywood location in 2009. Additional stores, Locali Venice and Localita & The Badasserie, a smaller counter-service store offering vegan fast-food options, coffee and smoothies, followed.
Los Angeles-based Locali’s menu includes healthy items created from locally sourced ingredients and certified organic products. Zagat named the vegan Badass Breakfast Sandwich (a combination of vegan sausage, soy-free cheddar, chipotle sauce and maple syrup on a multigrain English muffin) one of “LA’s 10 Best New Sandwiches.”
“We want change the way people think about healthy eating,” said Rosen. “We strive to provide a warm environment that encourages people to make healthy choices while still enjoying an utterly delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. We’re excited to take this mission and unique food service model to consumers and entrepreneurs in new markets.”
Alexandria, Va.-based Fransmart offers franchise development, turning emerging restaurant concepts into national and global brands. Its portfolio brands have opened more than 3,000 restaurants in 45 states and 35 countries.
