Love's Cottons to Cottondale, Fla.

Travel stop chain also donates $1.1 million to CMN hospitals nationwide

COTTONDALE, Fla. -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. said that it has opened a new travel stop in Cottondale, Fla., at Interstate 10, Exit 130.

The new location includes Chester's Chicken and McDonald's restaurants. It also features 98 truck spaces, DEF dispensers at the diesel islands, CAT scales, five showers, RFID cardless fueling technology and other amenities. A Love's Truck Tire Care center is located behind the travel stop.

Professional truck drivers will receive double I Love Rewards loyalty points on purchases at the new location through October 29.

"We are committed to offering our customers a variety of products and services at our travel stops to keep them moving on the road," said Greg Love, president of Love's Development Cos. "We are excited to continue our growth throughout the country to better serve our customers."

In other company news, Love's has announced that it raised $1.1 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the country during its annual five-week fundraising campaign; a record for the company. More than 270 Love's locations nationwide contributed by selling paper donation hearts in the amounts of $1, $5 and $20. Many Love's stores also organized local events to raise money including bake sales, car washes, softball tournaments, motorcycle rallies, and grand prize raffles.

"We are thrilled with this year's campaign. Our location growth and the tremendous enthusiasm of our store teams have enabled us to increase our contribution to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals by nearly 15% over last year," said Jenny Love Meyer, communications director for Love's. "We thank our customers for supporting our campaign every year, and we appreciate our dedicated employees for the amazing work they do to raise money for their local children's hospitals."

Through the Children's Miracle Network Hospital program, all money raised at each Love's location supports the nearest CMN hospital. The donations will help create miracles by funding medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals each year.

This is Love's 13th year supporting CMN Hospitals with a fundraising campaign. The company has donated more than $5.5 million through the years.

"Love's employees and customers have demonstrated their commitment to children's hospitals year after year," said John Lauck, president and CEO of CMN Hospitals. "We are grateful for their continued support which benefits the lives of countless children and their families."

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America, which use the money where it's needed the most. When a donation is given, it stays in the community, helping local kids. Since 1983, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Founded in 1964 by Tom Love, Love's is based in Oklahoma City, and it remains entirely family-owned and operated. With more than 275 locations and 100 tire care centers in 39 states, Love's approximate growth rate is 20 stores per year, it said.
