Lykins to Supply Grant County Oil GO Fast Lane C-Stores in Ky.

Also acquires bulk plant operator Royce Adams Oil

MILFORD, Ohio -- Lykins Cos. is continuing its expansion into the northern Kentucky market with the purchase of the bulk plant, commercial/residential and transport/wholesale portion of Grant County Oil Co. Lykins will also be assuming Grant County Oil's Marathon-branded supply contract and will become the supplier/transporter for five GO Fast Lane convenience store locations that Grant County Oil will continue to own and operate.

Grant County Oil is owned and operated by Jeff Dunaway and his family. Dunaway will be joining the Lykins team, serving in a sales, new business development and operations management capacity.

Lykins has also acquired Royce Adams Oil Co., also a family company, which is owned and operated by Kentucky state legislator Royce Adams. Royce Adams Oil is a bulk plant operator serving home heat, farm, commercial and retail accounts.

"We chose to purchase these companies because they are family owned and operated and have built solid reputations over the years as trusted suppliers, friends and supporters of the communities they serve in Grant and surrounding counties," said Lykins  president Jeff Lykins. "Their business philosophies are the same our company's philosophy. They are committed to offering top quality products at a fair price, outstanding customer service and giving back to the communities where they work and live."

Milford, Ohio-based Lykins is a family owned and operated business that was founded in 1948 by Guy Lykins Sr., and is now in the third generation of management. The company serves customers in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, as well as throughout the Midwest and the Southeast United States and provides five key services: branded fuels, wholesale fuels, commercial, transportation and home heating oil. The company represents five major brands: BP, Marathon, ExxonMobil, Shell and Clark.
