Murphy Oil USA Prepares for Spinoff With New Executive Team

Rudolfs will lead marketing operations; Cheng responsible for retail operations support

EL DORADO, Ark. -- Murphy Oil USA Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Murphy Oil Corp., has announced the members of its executive team in preparation for the spinoff of the U.S. retail business later this year.

John Rudolfs, currently executive vice president marketing for Murphy Oil USA, will lead the marketing operations including fuel, merchandise and asset development. He has been with the company since 2009.

Mindy West, currently vice president and treasurer for Murphy Oil Corp., will be ultimately responsible for Murphy Oil USA finance and accounting functions. She has been with the company since 2007.

Jeff Goodwin, currently senior vice president field operations for Murphy Oil USA, will be responsible for all field operations. He has been with the company since 2001. Previously, he was a district manager with The Pantry and Hess Corp.

Marn Cheng, currently senior vice president field operations for for Murphy Oil USA, will be responsible for retail operations support. Previously, he was with Love's Country Stores.

Steve Hunkus, currently senior vice president worldwide refining and renewable energy for Murphy Oil USA, will be responsible for ethanol manufacturing operations and terminal operations.

John Moore, currently manager law and corporate secretary for Murphy Oil Corp., will ultimately have responsibility for the legal, insurance and human resources functions. He has been with the company since 2005.

In January, Murphy Oil Corp. appointed R. Andrew Clyde as president and chief executive officer of Murphy Oil USA.

"Establishing this leadership team is a major step in preparing Murphy USA to become a successful standalone company," he said in a statement announcing the new team. "I look forward to working with this talented and capable team to ensure Murphy USA's future growth and success."

Rudolfs, Goodwin, Cheng and Hunkus will report to Andrew Clyde, effective immediately, with West and Moore assuming their new roles concurrent with the spinoff.

El Dorado, Ark.-based Murphy Oil USA operates retail gasoline stations under the Murphy USA and Murphy Express brands in 23 states across the country. These are high-volume, low-cost retail gasoline stations, primarily in the parking areas of Walmart Supercenters. It currently has more than 1,150 U.S. retail locations, and it recently announced an agreement with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to provide access to more than 200 new locations in the Midwest and southeastern United States. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Murphy Oil Corp., a worldwide oil and gas exploration and production company.
