He will remain chairman and consult with the company for transition.

"That will be about 42.5 years for me, which is plenty," he told CSP. "I have been drawing a paycheck ever since I was 14 years old, so I have put in my time."

The company recently announced that Kevin Johnson has been named CEO of Kocolene Development. Previously, Myers also held the title of CEO.

This is the first time in the corporation’s 77-year history that someone other than a member of the Myers family has held that title, said Myers.

Johnson has been with Kocolene since 2003, serving as CFO.

Also, Doug Prather has been named president of Kocolene Development, in addition to his current leadership role at Ranger Enterprises, the company’s warehousing, recycling and logistics provider. He began his career with Kocolene in 1990.

And Ben Reinhart has moved to the position of vice president of merchandising. Previously, he was controller. Debbie VonDielingen was recently appointed to the position of controller. Previously accounting manager, she has been with the company since 1995. Celeste Lucas has been assigned the expanded role of merchandise associate and pricebook administrator. She joined Kocolene in 2001.

Kocolene Marketing, the retail division of Seymour, Ind.-based holding company Kocolene Development, owns and operates five Fast Max small-format gasoline-only stations and five Smokers Host Discount Tobacco Stores in Indiana and Kentucky. It sold 14 Fast Max convenience stores to Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. in Sept. 2015.
