NOCO Express Opens Tonawanda Tim Hortons

Newly renovated convenience store also offers expanded selection of fresh foods

TONAWANDA, N.Y. – NOCO Express has announced the grand opening of a Tim Hortons quick-service restaurant (QSR) at one of its convenience stores in Tonawanda—its first as a Tim Hortons franchisee. The store also marked the completion of a month-long interior remodel to provide an updated look and expanded fresh product selection.

“As the convenience-store industry and customers’ on-the-go needs evolve and change, we continue to update and enhance our offerings for our customers,” said Jim DeFilippis, vice president and general manager for NOCO Express. “With the addition of Tim Hortons and the expansion of our Nickel City Foods products, we are providing our Kenmore Avenue store customers with a greater selection of fresh, grab-and-go foods.”

The Kenmore Avenue store now features a variety of meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Open 24-hours daily, Tim Hortons offers customers a selection of coffees, specialty beverages, sandwiches and baked goods. Freshly prepared and prepackaged sandwiches, salads, wraps and snack packs from Nickel City Foods are available throughout the day.

When entering the newly remodeled store, customers will notice a brighter and more open layout which includes the addition of new cooler space for fresh foods, dairy and juice products, frozen foods and craft beers.

NOCO also added a new checkout area and seating area to the store. New wall graphics installed throughout the store provide an overall updated look.

NOCO hired 14 new employees to accommodate the customer needs of the new store and the addition of Tim Hortons, bringing the total workforce to 22 employees. The Kenmore Avenue NOCO Express is open 24 hours daily.

Serving the Western New York community for more than 80 years, family-owned NOCO is based in Tonawanda, N.Y. It offers a full line of products and services including natural gas, electricity, propane, heating oil, HVAC sales and service, commercial fuels, and industrial lubricants. The company also operates 37 NOCO Express convenience stores throughout the region.
