Parker's Opens New Location in Garden City, Ga.

More stores slated to open, beginning in Rincon this December

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Parker's has opened a new convenience store in Garden City, Ga. The 28th Parker's location features discounted gasoline as well as nearly 4,000 square feet of retail space.

Like all other Parker's retail locations, the Garden City store offers PumpPal members a 10-cent discount per gallon of gasoline purchased through Dec. 31, 2012.

The Garden City store also features signature Parker's items like a gourmet coffee bar, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice, fresh-brewed iced tea, snacks and more.

"We're proud to be the low-price leader and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service at all of our locations, including our newest store in Garden City," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Css. "With our PumpPal program, we save our customers money every day, keeping gas prices low throughout the area."

The company's PumpPal program, which offers discounts of up to 10 cents on every gallon of gasoline purchased, has saved customers nearly $2 million since the program first launched in February of 2011. Today, the PumpPal program has nearly 57,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

Parker's also offer its 1-Cent Wednesday 'Fueling the Community' program at the new Garden City location. On the first Wednesday of every month, Parker's sets aside one cent of every gallon of gasoline purchased to donate back to community schools.

Parker's has hired Michelle Creech Lawrence as the store manager. In her new position, Lawrence is responsible for overseeing the store's daily operations, managing personnel and delivering the highest level of customer service. She previously served as store manager for Parker's No. 36 in Bluffton, S.C.

"Parker's is committed to opening every store with a seasoned team, offering the best in customer service," said Parker. "Michelle shares our deep commitment to quality and will play a key role in launching our newest retail location in Garden City."

Savannah, Ga.-based Parker's currently operates 28 c-stores and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties in Georgia. A new store in Rincon, Ga. is scheduled to open in Dec. 2012.
