Rutter's Takes No. 15 Spot on Fastest Growing Companies List

Retailer moves up Central Penn Business Journal annual top-50 ranking

YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores said that The Central Penn Business Journal has ranked it No. 15 on the newspaper's 16th annual list of the 50 top businesses making significant contributions to the growth, strength and success of the Central Pennsylvania economy.

This year marks the sixth consecutive year that Rutter's has appeared on the list, advancing from the No. 27 spot in 2011.

"It feels great to know that we're helping to grow our local economy and creating jobs," said Scott Hartman, Rutter's chief executive officer.

The Central Penn Business Journal also recognized Rutter's as the third largest privately owned company in Central Pennsylvania.

The paper held an event on September 12 in Harrisburg, Pa., to recognize the winners and announce their rankings.

And the paper profiled the "Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies" in a special supplement to the September 14 issue, with information on each company's financial growth.
