Charmon D. Hawkins, quality control manager. Daniel K. Lewis, general manager of store 120 in Mauldin. Andrea D. Masker, general manager of store 201 in Simpsonville. Steven G. Nicholls, general manager of store 243 in Spartanburg. Sherri R. Putman, general manager of store 126 in Greer. Gerald D. Reynolds, general manager of store 169 in Spartanburg. Retail management, communicative Spanish for retail personnel, accounting/financial analysis and communication theory and practice were the four core areas of the executive-level education program developed in collaboration between Spinx and the faculty of the Johnson College of Business & Economics.

Spinks, who will speak at the ceremony, said that his company makes continued learning programs available to all Spinx employees including a GED program, company career path training and development, higher learning through this retail management program, to scholarship and tuition reimbursement opportunities in pursuit of a degree.

The George Dean Johnson Jr. College of Business & Economics at the University of South Carolina Upstate delivers business education to a diverse student population. It is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business for its undergraduate business degree program. Through the College's five concentrations--accounting, economics/finance, general business administration, management and marketin--USC Upstate business graduates emerge with an understanding of today's global market.
