TravelCenters of America seeks franchisees

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America (TA) has launched a dedicated franchise recruitment program. The effort is designed to attract successful, independent travel center operators into the TA brand, and help fill selective market needs along U.S. interstate highways and state routes.

The TA network currently includes 160 travel center facilities in 41 states and Canada.

TA is openly looking for successful entrepreneurs who would like to join the leading brand, said TA's Director of Franchising Dave Raco. This is a great [image-nocss] industry for opportunity. With industrial production forecast to expand 3% to 4% through 2010, truckload tonnage will continue to rise proportionally. Well-run facilities with a top brand should do well.

Westlake, Ohio-based TA currently has 22 franchise operations across the country. Will Moon and his sister, Delia Moon-Meier, owners of the world's largest truckstop, The Iowa 80 Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa, said, Franchising with TA helped ensure our success. The TA fleet accounts and shop programs have really helped to propel our business to another level.

Our current franchisees are the best spokespeople for the brand. We encourage anyone thinking about joining to call our current franchise partners, said Raco. When we detail our brand value, national purchasing contracts, national fleet diesel and repair shop programs, training staff and other field support, most operators are eager to explore opportunities with us.

Raco added, TA has been in franchising for over 22 years, and a number of our operators have been with us that entire time.

Interested investors, entrepreneurs or single or multiple owner-operators can contact Raco at raco.dave@tatravelcenters.com.
