Tedeschi Completes Four More Store Remodels

Chain-wide initiative continues in effort to offer more fresh foods, convenient service

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- With new ceramic tile floors, modern lighting, fresh cases and other upgrades, Tedeschi Food Shops recently renovated four more convenience stores, located in Wareham, Revere, Lynn and Brighton, Mass.

The company announced the chain-wide renovation initiative in mid-2010 in an effort to offer more fresh foods and convenient services.

It said at the time that the average per-store cost was $250,000 per store The newly upgraded stores now feature an extensive selection of fresh salads, sandwiches, subs and wraps that are prepared by the company's own commissary. They also serve freshly brewed hot and iced Green Mountain coffee.

These upgraded stores are brighter and easier to shop because of an open floor plan, wider and shorter aisles and new artwork and aesthetics, the company said.

The stores are hosting Customer Appreciation Sales and sampling events to highlight the stores' latest products and new look.

"We are not only reinvesting in our stores; we are also reinvesting in our neighborhoods," said Peter Tedeschi, president and chief executive officer of Tedeschi Food Shops said in announcing the initiative. "Tedeschi Food Shops is proud to continue to serve the people in our communities. We hope that the changes we are implementing will provide a more convenient, satisfying shopping experience."
