TravelCenters of America 'Travels' to New York Stock Exchange

"TA," "TANN" will transfer listing from NYSE MKT to NYSE on April 4

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC, operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, has announced that it will transfer its stock exchange listing from the NYSE MKT to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

TA's common stock listed under the ticker "TA" and senior notes listed under the ticker "TANN" have been authorized for listing on the NYSE, where it is expected they will begin trading on April 4, 2013, using the company's current symbols of "TA" and "TANN," respectively.

The company will continue to trade on the NYSE MKT for both listings until the transfer is completed. Upon listing of the Common Shares and the Notes on the NYSE, the Registrant intends to withdraw the Common Shares and the Notes from listing and registration on the NYSE MKT.

TA also announced that concurrent with its move to the NYSE, Barclays Capital Market Makers will become the company's Designated Market Maker (DMM).

In other company news, TravelCenters of America recently announced its first Citizen Driver award program, designed to recognize professional drivers who evoke public respect for the truck driving profession.

A professional driver may be nominated for the Citizen Driver award by anyone. The company will post the nomination form, rules and other information to the TA and Petro websites. It will accept nominations throughout 2013 and the winner or winners will be announced in March 2014.

TravelCenters expects to invite trucking industry organizations to provide judges for submitted nominations. It will judge nominees on factors including demonstrated, exemplary citizenship in the driving community and otherwise; driving safety record; community involvement; leadership and healthy lifestyle.

TA will honor Citizen Drivers at a special event in Louisville next year during the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show, and the company will name their favorite TA or Petro travel center after them.

"We are extremely proud to play a role in support of the companies and drivers that make up the great truck driving industry," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. "Our customers log millions of miles each year and move the freight that keeps the U.S. economy going. We do our best to provide them with unparalleled hospitality, customer service and tools they need to be successful in their businesses, because they deserve it. Our Citizen Driver award is a way to recognize the best of the best, not just for being good at their jobs, but for being good people that everyone, everywhere, both inside and outside of trucking, can admire and respect. A Citizen Driver is intended to be someone the whole trucking industry is proud to be associated with, and whose stories should be heard by their peers and those outside the industry."
