Tudor to Retire from Georgia Association of Convenience Stores

Holland to take lead position of state organization

DALLAS, Ga. -- Georgia Association of Convenience Stores president Jim Tudor will retire at the end of 2015.

Tudor, a native of Virginia, graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1972 before serving his country in the United States Army. He began his career in the convenience-store industry at 7-Eleven Inc. Tudor worked there for nine years before joining the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores.

Tudor has been active in guiding the c-store industry through multiple regulatory issues on both the state and federal levels. Earlier this year, Tudor was recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives for his accomplishments and years of service to the c-store industry (see related video below).

In retirement, he plans to travel the country in a Winnebago with his wife Sandra. He also plans to spend time with this five grandchildren who live in the Atlanta area.

“It is a bittersweet time saying goodbye to my colleagues and starting this new chapter in my life.” said Tudor.

Angela Holland, who currently serves at the vice president of Association Services, will take the reins of the association on Jan. 1.

“I am leaving the association in good hands and I look forward to watching Angela flourish in her new role.”

The Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS) was founded in 1973 by convenience-tore owners and operators across the state to create a stronger voice within the Georgia General Assembly.
