Rutter's Latest Loyalty Winners

Awarded with free food, free gasoline

YORK, Pa. -- Arthur Bankert of Fawn Grove, Pa., is the latest winner of a free year of gas in Rutter’s Fuel Up Free contest. And this month’s winners in Rutter’s Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes enjoyed a 3-pack each of Sloppy Joe sliders, which is new this month to the menu at Rutter’s.

“We’ve gotten extremely positive customer responses to our new Sloppy Joe sandwiches; we thought it’d be a great way to reward our loyal customers,” said vice president of foodservice, Jerry Weiner.

Scanning a registered Rutter’s Rewards card nets each cardholder an entry into the monthly drawing for prizes, such as a free Pepsi 12-pack, a free month of gas, a large flat-screen TV, or $1 added to the balance of the winner’s Rutter’s Rewards card.

In addition to entry into the Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes, Rutter’s customers earn rewards in the form of cents off per gallon by scanning their registered Rutter’s Rewards card. More than 1,600 items in each Rutter’s store has a reward value assigned to it, anywhere from 1 to 10 cents. Rutter’s Rewards are redeemable immediately and valid for 60 days from the date that each reward is earned. Customers can earn cents-off rewards that amount to as much as, or even more than, the price of a gallon of gas.

In the gasoline contest, Bankert is the sixth winner in the summer contest that, at its end in September, will have given away a year’s worth of gas to eight loyal Rutter’s customers.

“I stop in for a cup of coffee almost every morning, and some mornings I meet a few people at the store to sit and talk,” Bankert said.

Customers must scan their card when they make a purchase from a designated list of qualified items to be entered into the drawing for the Fuel Up Free contest.

The Rutter’s Rewards loyalty program started in October of 2009. The Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes has been operating since January of 2011.
