SAN JOSE, Calif. -- With recent statistics showing an almost six-fold increase in ATM compromises from 2014 to 2015, a security executive said retailers need to stay alert, adding that consumers can help too.
Criminal activity was highest at nonbank ATMs, such as those in convenience stores, where 10 times as many machines were compromised compared to 2014, according to T.J. Horan, vice president of fraud solutions, FICO, San Jose, Calif.
