7-Eleven Selects Softscape's Retail HR Solution for Talent Management

Technology matches competencies with needs

DALLAS -- 7-Eleven Inc. is deploying Softscape Inc.'s Softscape for Retail talent management solution to better align and manage its approximately 30,000 employees in the United States and Canada. Leveraging Softscape's latest human resources technology, 7-Eleven can achieve its business objectives by providing strategic alignment of business areas with talent pools, matching competencies with organizational needs, evaluating and deploying people more accurately and managing diverse relationships to better develop departmental talent.

Softscape offers comprehensive human [image-nocss] capital management solution, providing complete employee-lifecycle management, including a core system of record, in a single platform.

7-Eleven will use Wayland, Mass.-based Softscape's Retail solution to initially manage performance management, 360 multi-rater feedback, succession planning, compensation management, incentive compensation and workforce analytics.

"In our thorough assessment of available options, we felt the Softscape product was superior, especially related to compensation management," said Scott Hintz, 7-Eleven's vice president of compensation.

Softscape's Retail people management solution provides a common platform for capturing and reporting performance assessments, 360 feedback, learning and development activities and compliance and certification requirements. Because Softscape offers a single platform, all data resides in secure database architecture to provide robust reporting and analytic capabilities.

Dallas-based 7-Eleven operates franchises or licenses approximately 8,200 7-Eleven stores in North America. Globally, 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 38,000 stores in 16 countries. During 2009, 7-Eleven stores worldwide generated total sales of more than $58.9 billion.
