Ackroo Inks InfoNet Deal

Convenience store loyalty technology provider partners with POS management firm

OTTAWA -- Ackroo Inc., a loyalty and rewards technology and services provider, has announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with InfoNet Technology Corp.

InfoNet is a leading provider of point-of-sale (POS) management systems to the fuel retailing, convenience store and unattended fueling industries, with more than 1,000 locations supported to date.

Through this go-to-market partnership, Ackroo will integrate its gift card and loyalty solution into InfoNet's market leading POS management system in order to provide more solution options to InfoNet's current and prospective customers while also offering integrated POS solutions to Ackroo's growing customer base in these segments.

"Our partnership provides a great differentiator for both organizations and assists both companies in becoming market leaders in this very large segment of the retail economy," said Steve Levely, executive vice president at Ottawa-based Ackroo.

Ackroo has also announced the retirement of president Ron Frank. He will continue to support Ackroo in a consultancy role moving forward.

Ackroo provides gift card and loyalty solutions into the $145 billion North American gift card and loyalty market. Their solutions enable businesses, merchants and business networks to increase profitability and build long-term customer relationships through customized gift card and loyalty programs. Ackroo's web-based solutions provide the power of a scalable software platform in an online tool that works with existing POS equipment, which the company said makes it easy and affordable for businesses to launch loyalty programs that deliver immediate return on investment.
