Alon Selects RackPrice

KSS solution supports wholesale fuel pricing

DALLAS -- Alon USA Energy Inc. has selected the KSS RackPrice solution to support pricing within its wholesale fuels business. Alon USA will use KSS RackPrice to help meet daily performance targets by consistently making informed pricing decisions and by responding more rapidly to market events, Florham Park, N.J.-based KSS said.

KSS RackPrice is a complete pricing solution for supporting rack pricing decisions and includes modules for price generation automation, reporting/analysis, competitive price prediction, price-volume modeling and price optimization.[image-nocss]

"In addition to providing us with greater control over pricing, RackPrice will allow us to more effectively manage, interpret and respond to market variables via a suite of sophisticated tools."

KSS is the leading supplier of comprehensive pricing intelligence, optimization and execution solutions for the grocery, drug, convenience and petroleum retail industry and provides software for modeling and pricing for more than 14,000 retail sites worldwide. KSS software is available as an onsite, fully integrated system.

Alon USA is an independent refiner and marketer of petroleum products, operating primarily in the southwestern and southcentral regions of the United States. It owns and operates a sour crude oil refinery in Big Spring, Texas, which has a crude oil throughput capacity of 70,000 barrels per day. It also markets gasoline and diesel products under the FINA brand name. And it operates convenience stores in West Texas and New Mexico under the 7-Eleven and FINA brand names and supplies motor fuels to these stores from its Big Spring refinery.
