Convenience-store retailer redesigns website, adds email, SMS outreach

TEMPLE, Texas -- CEFCO customers will see a sleeker website and new rewards-club offer, as part of a revamp of the retail chain’s digital presence.  

CEFCO Convenience Stores announced the launch of their newly redesigned website, as well as their new deals club, “CEF CLUB,” in partnership with GasBuddy OpenStore, Boston.

Key features of the new site include a clean design and improved user experience with enhanced search and navigation tools. Customers can sign up on the site for CEF CLUB, which is an email and short-message service, or SMS-based program, where participants will receive digital coupons and alerts about giveaways, promotions and other store deals.

“CEFCO Convenience Stores and our customer base have grown significantly in recent years, and we knew we needed a better way to serve and communicate to our customers,” said Brett Giesick, chief retail officer for the Temple, Texas-based CEFCO, in a press release. “GasBuddy OpenStore has provided a robust site, which will create a new digital experience for our customers. We now have increased control over our website and digital marketing, which allows us to better serve our customers.”
