CHS Appoints Digital Strategy Leader

Kass will work across all business units, including Cenex

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Tamara Freund Kass, an experienced agricultural communicator and leader, has joined CHS Inc. as its digital strategy leader. Kass is responsible for leading the expansion of a full range of digital media to further strengthen the company's connections with its key stakeholders in the United States and globally.

"She will be leading overall digital strategy and will be working with all of our business units, including the energy and Cenex brand side, along with the marketers and marketing communications staff in each area," CHS spokesperson Lani Jordan told CSP Daily News.

CHS is a leading global agribusiness owned by U.S. farmers, ranchers and cooperatives. Diversified in energy, grains and foods, CHS supplies energy, crop nutrients, grain marketing services, animal feed, food and food ingredients, along with business solutions including insurance, financial and risk management services. The company operates petroleum refineries/pipelines and manufactures, markets and distributes Cenex-brand refined fuels, lubricants, propane and renewable energy products. It distributes Cenex energy products through a network of 1,400 Cenex-branded gas station and convenience store retailers in 19 states, including 70 CHS-owned Cenex Zip Trip locations.

Kass joined CHS from DTN/The Progressive Farmer of Omaha, Neb., where most recently she held the position of vice president, content strategy and international agriculture. Kass has more than 15 years' experience in agriculture communications including leading information service products, creating editorial and media business management. She also has experience in creating and executing growth strategies, business development and working internationally.
