Double Quick Taps Pinnacle for Mobile Marketing

Tech delivers messages and deals to customers

INDIANOLA, Miss. -- Double Quick is coming to customers’ smartphones with Pinnacle’s Loyalty Rewards and Affiniti Cloud Mobile App, integrated with Darius for Retail from Velocity Worldwide.

The technology allows the convenience-store chain to have a mobile presence, along with shopper engagement tools to connect with customers and offer them incentives to visit by delivering messages and deals directly to their mobile devices through a Double Quick-branded app.

"We were looking for the opportunity to engage with our customers and find out how to become the primary destination for fuel, food and convenience options," said Vicki Goss, director of marketing for Double Quick Inc. "We believe this partnership will allow us to gain valuable consumer insights and the ability to offer the right products with unique and personalized offers. In a market full of competition from both convenience and mass merchandisers, we want to separate ourselves as the retailer of choice by knowing who we serve, as well as how to best serve them."

Working in concert with Pinnacle's Loyalty Rewards and Affiniti Cloud Mobile App, Darius for Retail allows retailers to collect and profile shopper data to create personalized marketing strategies that can be activated across all devices and channels. Darius also provides retailers with actionable insights that help them refine their marketing and promotions in real time, and make operational, inventory and merchandising decision-making easier, the company said.

Integration with discovery technology—Wi-Fi and beacons—provides a seamless in-store experience, and personal profiles ensure the right content is pushed to the right shoppers, a desired departure from mass discounting and into relevant communications.

"We are very excited about our new partnership with Pinnacle and Double Quick and their vision to raise the bar on how they engage with their customers. Darius for Retail is delivering proven results for all sorts of retailers, including those within the convenience sector. We're looking forward to being part of this new chapter in the Double Quick story," said Enda McShane, CEO of Velocity Worldwide.

"Double Quick is a longtime partner and friend of Pinnacle and we couldn't be more pleased to see them take this step toward extending their operations through shopper engagement," said Melissa Fox Hadley, vice president of marketing and innovation for The Pinnacle Corp. "We look forward to our continued partnership with the Velocity Worldwide team to provide technology solutions that allow retailers to connect and engage with their customers in new ways and expand their footprint in the community to grow their business."
