Eby-Brown Migrates to XATANET

Former OpCenter customer moves to SaaS-based solution
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Eby-Brown, a leading privately owned tobacco, candy and convenience distributor, has migrated its fleet optimization platform to XATA Corp.'s XATANET, its flagship fleet operations solution. XATA is also providing implementation and training services to ensure a smooth adoption of the solution. Additionally, Eby-Brown has purchased color displays for future XATANET functionality, such as in-cab navigation.

Headquartered in Naperville, Ill., Eby-Brown is a convenience store supplier and wholesale food distributor of more than 11,000 name-brand products. Eby-Brown [image-nocss] currently maintains a fleet of about 350 vehicles, with 12,000 retail locations in 28 states.

"Eby-Brown is a valued customer. We are pleased they have chosen XATANET as they migrate their fleet optimization platform from OpCenter, XATA's legacy platform," said David Gagne, executive vice president of field operations at XATA Corp. "Their ROI from the enhanced functionality of XATANET should be realized quickly as they roll out the platform across their fleet."

Sean Jones, vice president of transportation at Eby-Brown, said, "The tools provided by XATANET are invaluable toward increasing fleet safety, fuel efficiency and customer service. XATA has proven their commitment to us as a technology supplier."

The web-based, on-demand XATANET software provides XATA customers with a fleet optimization system giving fleet managers access to real-time data that encompasses all aspects of a customer's delivery operations.

Minneapolis-based XATA is a provider of fleet optimization software and services, optimizing fleet operations by reducing costs and ensuring regulatory compliance for the trucking industry, it said. Its on-demand software and services help companies manage fleet operations, enhance driver safety and deliver customer satisfaction. Offered through a fee-based subscription service, XATA oversees every truck in an organization's fleet. XATA provides services to develop the business processes required to deliver the profitability, safety and service levels demanded by today's competitive transportation environments.
