AIMS' COMPAS Commander a "Front Runner"; KSS retains Gold Certification
MONROE, La. -- AIMS Inc. said it is launching a new application using Microsoft SQL Server 2008, earning the company "Front Runner" status from Microsoft Corp. COMPAS Commander, in combination with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, helps enable petroleum products distributors to determine the performance of any facet of their business quickly and easily with a unique set of reporting tools. SQL Server 2008 provides the trusted, productive and intelligent Data Platform for business-critical applications.

"Microsoft remains committed to the success of our broad ISV partner community [image-nocss] who drive innovative solutions to market," said Mark Jewett, marketing director, SQL Server at Microsoft Corp. "The Front Runner program was designed to provide our partners with the best development environment possible and give them the technical and marketing tools they need to be successful over the long term."

"AIMS is excited to support SQL Server 2008 because it's a great platform and a great leap forward," said Robert Canterbury, president of AIMS. "Achieving Front Runner status enables us to deliver applications to customers within the same timeframe as the launch of SQL Server 2008. As a result of the solution we have developed, we are uniquely positioned to help our customers get the most from their technology investment."

COMPAS Commander automates accounting processes for wholesale distributors of petroleum products, such as product procurement and distribution, collection of receipts (including credit card credits), distribution of invoices, statements and quotes to customers and electronic importation of BOLs. As a true single-entry system, COMPAS Commander provides the efficiencies necessary for a distributor's personnel to stay on top of the fast-moving flow of transactions through their office.

AIMS, based in Monroe, La., focuses its software development to serve the highly specialized needs of distributors of petroleum products. AIMS continues to support, enhance and market its legacy software called COMPAS 8.0.

Separately, Florham Park, N.J.-based KSS Inc. has announced that for the sixth consecutive year, it has retained its Gold Certified Partnership with Microsoft, the highest level in Microsoft's Partner Program.

Gold Certification acknowledges the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies and represents the closest working relationship with Microsoft.
