SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --Murphy USA convenience stores and Walgreens drugstores are among the winners of JDA Software Group Inc.'s 2014 Real Results Awards, the software company has announced.
Nine companies across five countries that have achieved industry-leading results and transformational benefits through deployment of JDA's solutions and services will be honored at FOCUS 2014, JDA's 24th annual global conference April 27-30 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Murphy USA operates a chain of more than 1,200 c-stores and gas stations. When the company was spun off from El Dorado, Ark.-based Murphy Oil Corp in 2013, it realized that its growth strategy required the rapid deployment of best-in-class solutions to maximize profits. By using JDA's category management solutions in the cloud, Murphy revamped its merchandise mix across all store formats and is targeting an increase in sales. Murphy is realizing the benefits from its JDA solutions and estimates that over three years it will save $700,000 in internal system costs, in addition to saving $200,000 annually in IT and operational efficiencies.
As the nation's largest drugstore chain, Walgreens is creating a new "Well Experience" in its stores to provide convenient products and services that help consumers get, stay and live well. To support localized offerings in its new and remodeled store formats, the retailer worked with JDA to enhance its space and floor planning processes. Using JDA's solutions, Walgreens tripled its planogram library and increased its merchandiser bandwidth by 300%, without adding any resources. It also eliminated 97% of its planogram-to-store errors by automating its planning processes.
JDA Real Results Awards is in its ninth year. It selected this year's winners from among JDA's more than 4,000 global customers; they represent companies that have the best supply-chain success stories. Selected by a panel of JDA executives, the 2014 Real Results Award winners achieved measurable return on investment, developed innovative approaches to supply chain processes and collaborated beyond traditional supply chain boundaries.
